Active Power Control
According to the requirements specified in the "State Grid Corporation Technical Regulations for Grid Connection of Photovoltaic Power Stations," large and medium-sized photovoltaic power stations must possess active power regulation capabilities and be able to control their active power output based on instructions from the grid dispatch department. To achieve active power control of photovoltaic power stations, it is recommended that photovoltaic power plants install an active power control system capable of receiving and automatically executing remote active power control signals sent by the grid dispatch department. This system should automatically adjust the active power output of the power station based on signals such as grid frequency values and instructions from the grid dispatch department, ensuring that the maximum output power and power change rate of the photovoltaic power station do not exceed the given values set by the grid dispatch department. This helps maintain power system stability during grid faults and special operating conditions.
Large and medium-sized photovoltaic power stations should have the ability to limit the rate of change of output power. However, situations where the output power decline rate exceeds the maximum change rate due to rapid decreases in solar irradiance are acceptable.
Voltage/Reactive Power Regulation
According to the requirements specified in the "State Grid Corporation Technical Regulations for Grid Connection of Photovoltaic Power Stations," the power factor of large and medium-sized photovoltaic power stations should be continuously adjustable within the range of 0.95 (leading) to 0.95 (lagging). Based on system-specific calculations, a set of continuously adjustable 4Mvar SVG-type reactive power compensation devices is installed on the 35kV bus side of the switch station, with an adjustment range of -4Mvar to +4Mvar. This reactive power compensation device enables dynamic continuous adjustment to control the grid connection point voltage and meet grid voltage fluctuation requirements. It also features filtering functionality to satisfy grid power quality requirements.
